The “Mobility Infrastructure Asset Manager” (MIAM) established by Optima Nexus Consulting AG, an IT tool that enables the management and  automates the generation of network condition reports from asset evaluation to the data control and results overview is provided. The tool is used as a basis of the decision-making fundamentals for Mobility Infrastructure Management 4.0.

The core concept includes the depiction of the asset portfolio to an asset hierarchy for centralised management, the MIAM evaluation methodology and generation of asset condition data in the MIAM database. In addition to creating network condition reports as a core module, further modules offer analysis and forecasting functions based on asset condition. These include resource requirement forecasts and investment plans, which can be supplemented by condition-dependent analyses as decision basis for strategic asset management. In addition, control over processes for asset maintenance can be developed on the basis of the combination of condition data and resources.
